IRONMAN BIKE TRANSPORT PROGRAM Congratulations on your participation in the 2011 Subaru Canada Ironman Triathlon. If you are planning to fly from Penticton following the race, due to very busy flights and limited space for baggage & cargo, we have a special ground transport program in place to move your bike to Vancouver and beyond. We strongly recommend you take advantage of this program. Bike Transport MONDAY August 29 On Monday August 29 we will have a tractor trailer and check in station set up at the Penticton Lakeside Resort between 10 am and 4 pm. We will accept bikes from athletes flying from Penticton on Air Canada between Monday 29 August and Thursday 1 September. FREE of CHARGE !! CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS�Due to updates in various boarder regulations, if you are traveling Aug 30 to Sept 1 (or beyond) to the United States directly from Vancouver (Example � Vancouver direct to San Francisco) you may be required to pick up your bike in Vancouver at Air Canada Domestic Baggage Services (Arrivals Level 2) and recheck to your ongoing flight. There will be no charge to re-check your bike. Your bike must be boxed; bagged (padded) or crated otherwise we will not be able to accept it. We will require your complete outbound ticket and information to your FINAL DESTINATION. Proper Identification (Passport for USA and International passengers.) minimum Drivers License and/or Birth Certificate for Canadian travelers. This FREE OUTBOUND service is ONLY available on Monday August 29 and ONLY for passengers scheduled to travel from Penticton on Air Canada Jazz. Due to volume we can not accept any bikes from athletes traveling out of Kelowna. Should you decide to travel with your bike from Penticton Airport on your scheduled flight, there will be the normal baggage charge assessed at the airport check in. Also, if you have already pre paid for the airline bicycle fee for your outbound travel, we apologize but Air Canada will not process refund applications if you choose to take advantage of the truck service.
